She was a popular advocate of healthyВ living and could usually beВ found, during off-duty hours,В skiing, biking, swimming,В kayaking, and encouragingВ others to do so. Koss, a 1980 graduate ofВ Elcho High School, was a registeredВ nurse and certifiedВ diabetic educator for AspirusВ Langlade Hospital. вЂњMKвЂќ was added to theВ eventвЂ™s name in 2016, monthsВ after Koss, only 53 and a wifeВ and mother of five, was struckВ from behind and killed by anВ inattentive motorist northeastВ of Antigo on her firstВ road-biking outing of the season. In 2013, Michelle KossВ and friends created Splash-В N-Dash as a fundraiser forВ the Antigo Penguins SwimВ Club. The venue, locatedВ 17 miles north of Antigo is aВ popular destination for touristsВ and locals alike, butВ makes the perfect backdropВ for the popular event. The MK Splash-N-Dash,В a mix of swimming and runningВ designed for all ages,В returns to Veterans MemorialВ Park at Jack Lake on Saturday,В August 6, 2022.
